Epic Training Sequence for Youth Athletes
When training athletes you want to make sure that you provide adequate load and even eccentrics (depending on phase) but we also want to combine that with speed and power. There is nothing cookie-cutter about what we do at @legacyatcarbon and everything is catered to the athlete’s needs unlike those impersonal training franchises.
The first lift is an eccentric box squat with a 6 second descent and heavy load.
The next is a goblet speed squat going from athletic stance.
We finish with speed plyos on the shorter box.
This is just one of the many movement sequences we did this session.
@prestonlobliner hitting 115 on squats was not what I expected and Bo, a wrestling phenom, has been getting stronger, faster and more dominant daily.
