🎓 Middling occurs when groups who bet on the favorite AND the underdog at different point spreads both win. If a group of bettors wager on the favorite at -2.5 and the point spread moves up to +3.5, bettors swoop in to take the underdog at the higher number. If the game ends with a final margin of three points, both sides have just won and the sports book got middled.
