The Wild Wild East: Part 2 - The Song of Deborah

Bob Wassung will be teaching Part 2 of “The Wild, Wild East” from the book of Judges.

Part 1 was taught in May of 2019 titled "Wild Wild East part 1 (Judges)” if you want to catch up. That session was an overview of the period between Moses and David (from “Theocracy to Kingdom” is how I see it.).

The focus here will be the Judge Deborah and her “song” (chapter 5). It is one of the oldest poems in the Bible. Moses’ Song in Deuteronomy 32 is the only one possibly older. The “angel of the Lord” figures in the book of Judges a lot (four appearances…only Gospels (7) and Acts (5) have more…).
Deborah was a prophetess. She became a judge. Two (2) full chapters are devoted to her work with God; Judges 4 and 5.
