Teaser - Ice Queen slays the Dragon

A visit to the Tail of the Dragon …there’s snow and ice EVERYWHERE!!

Husband and wife take a trip to the famous Deals Gap (US129), also known as the Tail of the Dragon. This road is considered one of "the destination" location for many motorcycle and car enthusiasts. It's nestled in between the Great Smoky Mountains and the Cherokee National Forest. It boasts 318 turns in just 11 miles. The slow speed hair pin turns will literally have you on the edge of your seat at times. This trip had us riding through areas with snow and ice still on the road. This was the wife's first go at the famous "Tail". We were quite disappointed when we got to Deals Gap and the store was closed. We will be returning so wife can get her patch. We were fortunate enough to visit this beautiful location in the summer as well. Be on the lookout for many videos from both trips.
