MISSING new 2023
Missing is an upcoming American computer screen mystery thriller film written and directed by Nick Johnson and Will Merrick (in their directorial debuts), from a story by Sev Ohanian and Aneesh Chaganty. It is a standalone sequel to the 2018 film Searching. The film stars Storm Reid, Joaquim de Almeida, Ken Leung, Amy Landecker, Daniel Henney, and Nia Long. Its plot follows June Allen, a teenager who begins using various technology to find her missing mother after she disappears on vacation in Colombia with her then-new boyfriend.
Missing will have its world premiere at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival on January 19, 2023, and is scheduled to be released in the United States on January 20, 2023, by Sony Pictures Releasing
