Oceans and their currents are the life support of all living beings on Earth. The Benguela Upwelling System off Namibia’s Atlantic coastline is one of the most productive fishing grounds in the world.

Ensuring a healthy Benguela current marine ecosystem is the key to success of all life in Namibia.

A lack of awareness and understanding of Namibia’s marine resource management may result in an unfavorable public perception of the predominately good and positive strides made in protecting the sustainability of marine ecosystem resources.

Why is it that the science of climate change and its direct effect on Namibia’s marine resources is largely unknown and unexplained to most.

These are the voices taking us on a journey into the Benguela Current Large Marine Ecosystem.
