Prior to the kickoff of every football season, the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook hosts SuperContest weekend where visitors can prep for the upcoming season by signing up for NFL contests and attending a variety of panels hosted by professional sports bettors. This year, WagerTalk is getting in on the fun.

Following the success of our March Madness meet-and-greet at the SuperBook Clubhouse, we’re heading back to the desert before football season and we’re bringing plenty of friends with us. The official meet-and-greet will be on Saturday, August 20. The SuperBook will be showing UFC 278 for the event, headlined by Kamaru Usman vs Leon Edwards. Here’s what else will be going on that weekend…

Baskets and Birdies
The SuperContest’s annual golf outing is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, August 20 with a handful of WagerTalk’s weekend warriors hitting the links.

Golf, not your thing? No worries. Lace ’em up with WagerTalk’s version of the Globetrotters on Saturday from 11am – 2pm PT at the Tarkanian Basketball Academy (2730 S Rancho Drive). Hang with your favorite handicapping personalities and try to take down the reigning three-point champ, Jay Money.

On Sunday, WagerTalk handicappers and personalities will appear on some NFL and college football handicapping panels. Which teams will surprise you this season? Which teams are overvalued in the betting market? Our experts will offer some of their thoughts.

2022 Westgate Las Vegas SuperContest
Originally billed as the Las Vegas Hilton SuperContest, the SuperContest is one of the oldest and most-popular NFL contests in the country. Last year’s SuperContest featured a $1,000 entry price with 1,972 total entries. The top 30 places in the season-long contest got paid with over $335,000 going to the winner. In addition to the season-long contest, there are several smaller bonus pools and mini-contests to participate in as well.

A few years ago, SuperBook introduced SuperContest Gold as an alternative contest for serious bettors looking to make a big score. Entries are $5,000 a piece and it’s a winner-take-all format.
