The sorrow of man is a repetitive theme seen in the novels written by man and it is seen in the movies man produces. A never-ending stream of misery and sorrow. It is seen throughout the history of man.
But understand – man brings misery and sorrow upon himself due to his rebellion against God. Oh don’t get me wrong – we live in a fallen world due to the initial rebellion so the conditions for misery and sorrow are already present – but man, himself, as an individual, is incredibly adept at making things worse for himself due to his own rebellion against the Lord and His rule. And man collectively, as society, as a nation, is incredibly adept at making things worse for all people due to the rebellion against the Lord societally.
