"Nyet!!" - A Message to my Russian Publisher

I'm refuse to allow any of my books to be published in Russia while there are Russian troops on Ukrainian soil. Yesterday my literary agency approached me with a lucrative deal to republish a new edition of my book "What Doesn't Kill Us" in Russia. I have tens of thousands of Russian readers--and I'm sure that many of them, if not most, do not support the genocide going on in Ukraine. I am constantly impressed with the civil disobedience movements inside of Russia and all of the sacrifice that good Russian citizens are doing to put the breaks on Putin's war effort. However, if I allow my book to move forward in Russian territories then at least some of that money would go to the government, and thus aid the war effort.
