Aluminum sand casting process. Easy, but difficult.... In this video I will be showing you how to make a foam pattern and cast it in aluminum. This sand casting process is lost foam casting. The sand is ordinary "dry" sifted sand. The aluminum sand casting process has been around for a long time. We are always learning new techniques. Aluminum sand casting is so much fun. Once you start you will not want to stop. If you are going to start I would recommend starting with lost foam casting. It doesn't require a specific type of casting sand.
