Hellhole Pass in the Beaver Dam Mountains sounded like a good place to see what Jens 2022 Royal Enfield Himalayan may be capable off, so off I went!
The ascent is steep and loose to the pass, road had a few spots of flooding damage but it wasn't a big deal. The Himy chugged right up.
Now the descent on the other side, well...that was a whole other story!
Steep, loose, baby heads, boulders, multiple washed out sections, narrow.
Chock full of good, clean fun.
I pretty much held on to the Himy and hoped for the best!
And the bike got through the terrain just fine!
One (possibly major) problem was the rear brake, there were a few times on steeper sections that stomping on the rear brake didn't do much good. We have heard complaints from others about the rear brake but really hadn't had an issue other than the squeakiness. Will be having that looked at.
Over all, I'm still quite impressed with the Himalayan and I think this trip confirmed (at least with me) that this motorcycle is quite capable of delivering some adventure!
Thanks For Watching!
