Why Eggs are SO Expensive in 2023

Eggflation! This is why Eggs are SO Expensive in 2023. There’s been a number of different things happen over the past couple years that I’ve listened to this great increasing egg prices. The biggest being the avian flu that is going around ripping through a bunch of different birds and it has killed over 60,000,000 chickens in the last year alone. 43 million of these were hens that lay eggs so the supply of eggs has dropped, but the demand is still there. In addition to this, we have seen very high gas prices, unlike anything we’ve seen before, as well as increase prices, across-the-board with grocery store CEOs making more money than they ever have. Hopefully this will calm down and this year, but it might trickle into 2024.
