What? There is such a street in Shibuya?
The first slope I walked down was a street of love hotels and adults.

After passing through there, I found a red sanctuary sitting at the top.
This is Chiyoda Inari Shrine.
Originally, the shrine was dedicated to the god by Ota Doukan, a military commander in the late Muromachi period (1336-1573), in Edo Castle.
In the Edo period (1603-1867), due to the expansion of Edo Castle, the shrine was settled next to Miyamasu Ontake Shrine.
In the late Edo period (1603-1867), the shrine protected Emperor Komei's sister, Prince Kazuko, when she married into the Shogun's family. The Inari shrine was believed to have protected Emperor Takaaki's younger sister, Prince Kazuko, during her marriage to the Shogun.
Later, the shrine was relocated here as the god of the shopping district of Hyakken.

From Edo Castle to Shibuya Miyamasuzaka to Hyakkenten.
The deity has survived the relocation and is now transformed into the god of Shibuya's shopping district.
Tokyo is interesting because of this kind of history.
Nakayama Inari Daimyojin, the deity of the Count's mansion, is also located in the precincts of the shrine.
Please come and feel it.

If you are interested in learning more about shrines and temples, please write to us with your questions. There are shrines everywhere in Japan. Akihabara in Tokyo is famous for its electric town, but there are shrines even in its back alleys.

I hope that when people from other countries visit Japan, they will feel the sanctity of shrines and clear their minds.

I am not an expert, but I would like to answer questions as I learn more myself. Once I have some of the questions finalized, I will put them on video. Please write to me.
