Following a violent Pacific storm that dropped record-breaking amounts of rain in some locations on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, Southern California and the Central Coast are starting to dry out and clean up.

Debris and mud blocked or completely covered roads. Over four inches of rain fell in the Los Angeles metro area, close to ten inches in Montecito, and over twelve inches in higher elevations in Ventura County.
