2023 Mazda MX-30 Hybrid with Rotary Engine

Mazda is debuting the MX-30 e-Skyactiv R-EV at the 2023 Brussels Motor Show, featuring a rotary engine as a range extender for the PHEV crossover. The rotary engine, which has a high compression ratio of 11.9:1, is used to power a generator that extends the MX-30's range to over 373 miles. The electric motor powers the wheels, producing 167 horsepower and 260 Nm of torque. The vehicle is primarily intended to be used as an EV, with an all-electric range of 53 miles and a starting price of €35,990 in Germany.
