FAR CRY 6 Review || The Definition of Mediocrity

Well, it took me a year to get to it and I had to battle through some COVID induced throat dryness to record the script but here we are at Far Cry 6 at last. The game was poised to be the biggest game in the series with the best graphics and all the features and environmental lushness from Far Cry 3, Far Cry 4, and Far Cry 5. Lead writer Naveed Khavari worked on 5 and Far Cry Primal so you think he'd know his way around the series, but what we get is a melodramatic, often cringey story unbefitting the grit of the series and the talents of Giancarlo Esposito, and some gameplay that feels weirdly great and terrible at the same time. Missions structures vary from pretty good to totally dated and this is the most technically unsound Far Cry I've played. But is that enough to unseat it from its lofty perch?
