"I Have A Dream"-Born of Love
Tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

His words rang out across country’s span,
with love for his people; a dream, a plan.
Each valued for their beliefs, near and far--
past way to be healed of every painful scar.
It was his dream!

His message was of hope for the masses;
calls to spill out hate from dirty glasses.
A most wondrous speech Dr. King did give,
with notes of freedom and plans to forgive.
He had a plan!

He said God's children should be labeled not--
Prejudice of race and color of skin not a blot;
rather be recognized by love from within.
In God's eyes, all are one race, one kin.
Love is a brotherhood!

His message of wisdom lives on today.
Strength of character has paved a way
forever embraced as humanity extolls
love in beating hearts of kindred souls.
Wisdom is revered!

He is remembered with awe and pride,
In annual holiday of tribute set aside.
God's chosen leader was sealed apart,
easing prejudice as hatred did depart.
He advocated healing!

Let us thank Dr. Martin Luther King--
Proof of hope every race may sing.
Dreams of past, and days to come,
always be revered for victory won.
He was a peacemaker!
