Attempt at Making Rare Ferrate ion in Solution from Iron Chloride (FeCl3)

It has been described that Iron metal and Iron salts can be oxidised to form the Fe6+ ferrate complex ion solution by OCl- under alkali conditions.

FeCl3 was first synthesised from Iron oxy-hydroxide and HCl. NaOH and Bleach was added before gently heating. The result is some light-brown precipitate and pale brown solution.
