Can I beat Alien's Lair but I can't stop Jumping? - Contra

I go back to playing the classic game Contra and seeing If it can be played but I can't stop jumping. This is Contra gameplay 1987 NES version. The Alien Lair and It isn't too bad compared to the other levels in the challenge
