In 1914, Millions of people in German occupied territory in Belgium and France were facing the very real threat of starvation. Hope for these millions required the help of a neutral power walking a thin line between belligerents. The Commission for Relief in Belgium saved millions from starvation, and forever changed both those who received the aid, and those that provided it.
