Was this Capital Police officer a HERO or a FRAUD?

Eugene Goodman was a Capitol Police officer during the January 6, 2021 breech of the U.S. Capital Building. He was credited for diverting rioters away from the Senate chamber and quite possibly "saving the Senators and Mike Pence's lives" ... as the media had breathlessly reported about this video clip, as if it were a Hollywood
movie created by Adam Schiff.

A Huffington Post reporter just happened to be upstairs at the time before the breech and was taking photos from a window (maybe Pelosi's office) of people gathering outside the building on the lawn near a section where the media had set up all their cameras before anyone from the rally at the Ellipse had even arrived yet. The Huffington Post reporter on his twitter feed said he took this video.

It appears as if Officer Goodman had been following the reporter back up the stairs. It also didn't appear that the "rioters" were posing any real physical harm to the officer. As a matter-of-fact, to anyone who's actually been in a physical confrontation with anyone before, it looked staged and a bit contrived — similar to amateurish acting in a Junior High School play. Not very believable. Notice the officer's little "love tap" on the rioter's shoulder? Was that supposed to be an intimidating show of force?

When police officers are outnumbered and facing an imminent threat of danger to themselves or to others, they can use their firearm. Goodman didn't appear to be in fear for his life or anybody else's. No tazer, club or mace or any other deterent was ever used on these "rioters". Three "love taps" on the shoulder of the lead person, that was all.

Afterwards, from January 20, 2021 to March 2, 2021 (for 3 months) after Officer Goodman gained all his heroic fame, he served as the Acting Deputy Sergeant at Arms of the United States Senate. During that time on February 12, 2021, the Senate adopted a resolution awarding Goodman the Congressional Gold Medal. On the 2nd Anniversary of J-6 (January 6, 2023) President Joe Biden awarded him the Presidential Citizens Medal.

In a speech Biden had said 7 people died on J-6 as a result of the rioters. That was a lie. 4 people died that day: 1 protester was murdered by a capital police office and one protester suffered cardiac arrest after Capital Police shot tear gas into a tightly packed crowd on the west-side of the building. 2 other protesters (out of one million) died that day from natural causes (heart attacks). The next day the brother of one officer said he died from health issues, and weeks later 2 other officers committed suicide for unknown reasons. No protester was responsible for the death of anybody as Biden and the Democrats have always implied.
