House Speaker McCarthy News Conference

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said Congress has a role to investigate how and why classified documents were found at President Biden’s Delaware home and a private office in Washington, DC. The speaker’s comments came during a news conference on Capitol Hill with reporters. Other topics he discussed included Rep. George Santos (R-NY) ethics concerns, the deal he struck with fellow Republicans to become speaker, the debt ceiling and committee assignments.
