Last year, the Golden Globe Awards were untelevised. This year, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association chose comedian Jerrod Carmichael to emcee the proceedings. Carmichael started the ceremony by saying, “I’m here because I’m black.” Following a brief moment of silence to discomfort the audience, he continued, “This show, the Golden Globe Awards, did not air last year because the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which I won’t say were a racist organization, but they didn’t have a single Black member until George Floyd died. So do with that information what you will.” In telling all this, Carmichael got one thing right: The HFPA did secure his role to have a black face present, but that was not the primary reason. In today’s show, Jason will discuss the real reason and why no one in the mainstream media is talking about it. The key reason is because Jerrod Carmichael is part of the Alphabet Mafia. The HFPA has always been corrupt, and a decision to have a black face representing the LGBTQ community and "silent Ps" is a no-brainer investment in its eyes. “Fearless” soldier T.J. Steve had a shocked response to this: “People get annoyed when you take off your shoes or sandals as you get onto a flight and board, but this guy took off his pants and was in his ‘chonies’? Really?"
