Noita Gameplay - Quick Death - Secret area?

Went to explore outside the cave to see if anything was out there. There was a Chilly Egg which spawned a strange pet. There was an altar which gave me the Curse of Greed; Apparently this means you spawn some green cursed goo which kills you and tons of mobs waiting for you on the way back to the cave.
