Night Musings # 376 - Is The Bible A Psychology Book Styled In Allegory? Soul Is Psyche (Gr. Psuche)

I just had a thought, it came to me in the way of a question. What if none of the characters in the Bible were actually real people? What if all of it from Adam to Jesus were actually allegorical characters and the Bible is a mythological book just trying to teach us psychology through allegory? How would that make a difference if you knew this? How would that make a difference and alter the way you believe.

I think it would have been better if we had known from the beginning, that the Bible was a psychology book heavily dressed in allegory. It is very complex, the stories are very complex describing the complexities of our soul, of our psyche. And had we known this we would not have fallen into the trap of #religious #devotion to #deities or a #deity , God and turned inward and applied it to our human psychological life, because that's really all it is meant to save.

It is meant to save the soul, it is meant to find a soul and I've said this before that the Greek term for soul is Psuche, which is our psyche our psychological mind.

And the Bible deals with the topic of "saving the psychological mind" from all of its #turmoil . If we had known this and if we had understood this (and it's no no #shame or #blame to any of us) but now we know, now we can know this and then we would have applied it's allegorical #wisdom on how to save our psyche.

It would have made a big difference. It's not too late to learn this now and it's not too late to apply this now and to abandon the notion of following and #worshippinggod worshipping a God, that is so silly and it is really #idolatry . The real type of idolatry.

The book is all about (and if there's any #worship it's for the worshipping of our Soul) take the allegory of God breathing into the nostrils of the little clay figure and the #clay figure stood up and became a living soul. This is an extension of God in an #earth body, all right! You become that God.

You're supposed to put all your attention on that little God, on that living soul and save it. Save it through the turmoil of this Earth's life, this clay life imposes on us. It's all it really is so I say again if we had understood the Bible as an allegorical psychology book how different we would have maybe turned out. But the time is now, the time is now to give this attention we have been giving to God and give that to our Soul.
