Is this the end of women's sports? We look to answer that question this week as Rebecca Weber welcomes University of Kentucky swimmer Riley Gaines to the BFA Podcast. Gaines shares her firsthand account of having her dreams crushed while competing against a biological male in the sport to which she has dedicated her life. Adding insult to injury, Lia Thomas (who tied with Gaines and was formerly known as William) was awarded Female Athlete of the Year this year by the NCAA. Gaines details how she is redefining modern day feminism by standing up for the women across America who fought for Title IX over 50 years ago, only to see it torn down to avoid accusations of transphobia. If you agree that the NCAA should be defending Title IX and protecting the rights of female athletes, this is a conversation you shouldn't miss.
