I Am Not a Schmuck For Hating New Minimum Wage Increase

Effective January 1st 2023 millions of workers in the United States get more money in their paychecks. The minimum wage in many states has been increased and employees are rejoicing in their Fight for $15. The increases range from 23 cents to $1.50 an hour. California and Washington are over $15.00 an hour. And Washington D.C. is now over $16.00 an hour. And while the federal minimum wage remains unchanged the Biden administration is trying to eventually get that rate to $15.00 as well. This new minimum wage increase has some business and restaurant owners livid over the fact that they claim they are now going to go out of business. Celebrity restaurateur Lenny Rosenberg is voicing his dismay as well. He talks to reporter David Nazar with Sustaining US on PBS.
