Contra gameplay but I can't stop jumping with a laser on NG+ #3

This is Contra gameplay 1987 NES version. I've gone back to playing Contra with non stop jumping but this time I'm using a laser which is the strongest weapon in the game however it only fires in a straight line compared to a spread gun covering a much wider range. I had to beat the game holding the laser to do this challenge so it's going to be even harder because this is NG+
