Winter storm creates dangerous conditions across California

Flooding and mudslide risks are growing, with more storms in the forecast across California. The death toll is rising, with officials saying 17 people have died as a result of the storms over the past two weeks. Tens of thousands of power customers are in the the dark tonight as crews race to save people from rising floodwaters. Governor Gavin Newsom is assessing the destruction, and 34,000 Californians remain under evacuation orders.
