Locals oppose Blacktown Council Mayor's decision to raise Ukraine flag

“The Ukrainian flag now flies proudly above the Australian flag and the Aboriginal flag above Council's Administration Centre in Blacktown,”  said the council in a statement on Tuesday.

Locals are outraged that the council has raised the Ukrainian flag without consulting the community first.

Local man known as Bill from Hunters Hill rang the mayor to investigate.
