Get Ready, The Lost are Coming Home!

The father saw his son returning from a far-off distance and immediately had compassion for him. Instead of waiting, he raced to meet his son, seized him and embraced him:

“When he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him” (Luke 15:20 NKJV).

My Bulgarian bible actually says the father fell on his neck and 'smothered him with kisses.'

This wording "fell on" is the same wording used to describe the Holy Spirit "falling on the people" in the book of Acts (see Acts 10:44 and 11:15).

By pouring out His Spirit, our heavenly Father sealed us in an embrace as His sons and daughters. So many prodigals are ready to come home and need to realize that God is waiting for them with joy. He has prepared an embrace and a party, not a rebuke.
