The Pool of Siloam was mentioned in the news recently as excavations continue around the pilgrimage road.
This Pool of Siloam may sound familiar as it is the very spot where Jesus sent the blind man to be healed. And there, a miracle happened. He didn’t regain his sight, for that would imply that the man was able to see before. This man was born blind.
He had an encounter with Jesus and afterwards, he was healed of blindness, and was able to see for the first time in his entire life. Talk about life changing.

Before we get into where this is within scripture, I want to point out that when we see these types of news stories, it’s a good opportunity to review these accounts within scripture.
