During his visit to Kyiv, European Commission Vice President Frans Timmermans highlighted the need for the European Union to provide Ukraine with all the assistance possible. He praised the move of France and Germany to supply Ukraine with armoured personnel carriers as "a logical step" towards providing the country with the necessary aid. Moreover, Timmermans suggested investing in Ukraine's infrastructure and cyber-security, as well as in furthering the development of its civil society, in order to respond to the challenges it is facing in terms of stability and security.
