Regularly eating mushrooms—even just twice a week—can reduce risk of cognitive decline as well as cancer.
Researchers from the National University of Singapore researching mild cognitive impairment in seniors found that participants who ate just 2 servings of mushrooms a week or more (equivalent to 300g or about half a plate) were 57% less likely to have cognitive impairment compared with those who ate less than one portion a week, after removing other factors including smoking, alcohol, hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and physical and social activities.
