FOLLOW OUR LEAD: Clever Dogs Show People How To Cross The Road

This is the moment a pair of clever dogs use a zebra crossing and find themselves used as role models by traffic police.

Cops in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv spotted the duo padding across the busy junction on 8th January using the crossing.

The footage, filmed from a car, shows it slowing down to allow the dogs to cross, with another vehicle doing the same from the opposite direction.

Then as the drivers wait patiently, the dogs trot calmly over the crossing.

Kyiv Patrol Police said in a statement obtained by Newsflash: "Even dogs follow traffic rules."

They went on: "Patrol officers witnessed such an instructive incident and could not help but share it with you!

"We remind you how to cross the road safely and correctly.

"That's right: only on a pedestrian crossing (in particular, underground and overground), and in the absence of one - at intersections along the lines of sidewalks or roadsides.

"Be safe: make sure it's safe first, don't make any sudden movements - don't suddenly run out onto the roadway, especially the zebra crossing, and don't slow down or stop on the road.

"If you have a child with you, take their hand."
