House Republicans pass rules package for the 118th Congress

House Republicans passed a new rules package for the 118th Congress late Monday evening. The package will include a concession to allow just one member to call for a vote to oust a sitting speaker as well as a mandate to expand a select committee to investigate the alleged “weaponization” of the federal government.
