The Shanley Hotel

I am beyond excited to have the Shanley Hotel officially kick off Ghost Magnet Paranormal! This hotel was everything we wanted and more! We had a blast the whole time we were there and already want to go back.

It was built in 1845 by Thomas Ritch and was originally known as the Ritch's Hotel. It didn't become the Shanley hotel until 1906 when James Shanley (who came over to America from Ireland) purchased it for only $10,000! He was married to Beatrice Shanley and they had 3 children together, two boys and one girl. Unfortunately all three children passed away as infants, the oldest only making it to 9 months and 10 days old. James came to America to chase the American dream but with the loss of their children, his barber's daughter (Little Rosie) drowning in the well behind the hotel, and getting caught when they were using the hotel as a Speak-Easy during prohibition maybe the Luck of the Irish was against him.

The Shanley Hotel is an amazing location, and whoever is out there chasing the paranormal should make this a bucklist location. Or just stay the night with some friends if you're not a hard-core paranormal enthusiast and have a night you will NEVER forget! I couldn't pick a experience to share first and be the official kick-off to this series. Season one will be premiering in July of 2023, so I am excited to share this video with you all to let you see a hint of what's to come!
