The Great Salt Lake Pumping Station

The news is resurrecting dry Salt Lake stories this week, which became more prominent in the days leading up our gifting of Salt Lake City in the summer of 2022. Where is all the water going? It's raining and snowing constantly! Well, the news has also been promoting the supposedly decommissioned pumping station that can pump 1 million gallons of water out of the lake per minute. Why are they bringing back stories of a pumping station that has been non-operational since 1989 and really hammering in the “non-operational” part? Maybe it’s not so “non-operational” after all.
