Awaken Unto Righteousness II : Cleansed Conscience (1)

If God were looking for a reason to be distant from men He wouldn't have sent Jesus to remove the sin that separated us from Him. All the sacrificing of animals under the Old Covenant were pictures of the single sacrifice of Jesus as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. The former sacrifices only covered our sins and acted as a reminder of it. Christ's sacrifice cleanses our consciences and frees our heart's awareness from sin forever . .
