Brilliant Fashion Sakala strike kickstarted a wonderful second half as the Rangers picked another win on the road.
Two goals in three minutes did the trick for Rangers as they negotiated past Dundee United with a 2-0 victory at Tannadice.

The Light Blues needed a win to cut the gap Celtic have built at the top of the Premiership to nine points again and they managed just that. Fashion Sakala netted after the break and Malik Tillman finished things off as the minutes between 54 and 57 proved deadly for new manager Michael Beale.

He has overseen an improvement since succeeding Giovanni van Bronckhorst, with a run of five wins from six after Monday's 2-2 draw with Celtic at Ibrox. But this is still early days in his reign.

Liam Fox's were determined to make sure this wasn't easy for their visitors and that was the case in the first half. But a rapid start to the second half by Rangers proved too much for them.

Alfredo Morelos came off the bench to provide a physical presence and it helped his team on the way to putting this one just about out of sight. There were other forward positives too as Colak and Roofe made their injury returns.

Up next for Dundee United is an important Premiership trip to Hibs while the Light Blues now look towards Hampden and Aberdeen in the League Cup semi-final.
