HOUSTON, Texas - A customer shot and killed a robber at a taqueria during a hold-up in southwest Houston late Thursday night. It happened at The Ranchito #4 on S. Gessner and Bellaire at about 11:30 p.m.

About 10 customers were inside eating when the masked robber walked in and pointed a gun at them as he began taking their wallets and cellphones. Pedro Lopez, owner of the taqueria, said he and his employees are still in shock.

In surveillance video, you can see the moment several customers drop to the floor, shortly after the robber shouts and waives what appears to be a gun. (Notice here the lefttard bullshit has already started, how would anyone know in the moment it was not a real gun?) As the suspect was leaving (how do they know this?), one of the customers stood up and shot him several times, said police. He died at the scene.

According to Willkens, the suspect had what he described as a plastic pistol, either air-soft or a BB gun. Investigators have not identified the suspect or the person they said killed him. (He could have put an eye out with that BB gun or caused someone to have a really bad bruise).

All the dude wanted to do was go have and taco and some beans and look at this. So what have we learned besides don't rape, rob, steal and kill? Don't bring a plastic gun to a gunfight at a taco joint. An armed society is a polite society and a safer one. I think the good guy should at least get a free taco or two for his trouble.

“One of the reasons that law enforcement is seeking out this individual is to find out whether he was in fear for his life or the lives of the people around him because that’s absolutely essential to a self-defense claim under the law," KHOU Legal Analyst Carmen Roe said.

A masked man walked into the restaurant holding a gun, demanding customers' wallets. As he grabs a wallet out of a customer's hand, another customer sitting in a booth reached for his gun. As the suspect walks away, the customer shoots at the suspect nine times, killing him. “If you’re justified in shooting the first bullet, you’re justified in continuing to shoot until the deadly threat is no longer there," she said. Roe said it doesn’t matter if the gun was fake. The threat was real.

The customer who shot at the suspect left the restaurant after the shooting and many have asked if he was legally obligated to stay until police arrived. “Staying there to answer questions, is important. It’s something that as a lawyer I would have advised to have done, but at the same time, you have no obligation to stay on the scene of a situation like that," Roe said. The restaurant owner and employees are calling the customer a hero.

So the state who cannot protect shit, wants to persecute this guy for taking out the bad guy is what this screams. Yet a cop can shoot someone 15 times and it is OK. More state sponsored terrorism. I hope everyone keeps their mouth shut and the guy stays free from the state of Texas thugs with guns.
