Lula government appears to have quelled a popular uprising in Brazil

Protestors converged on the capital in Brasilia on 08 Jan 2023 to express their anger over the installation of convicted money launderer Lula da Silva as president on Jan 1st, 2023. Things went sideways as tens of thousands rushed the National Congress building.
