Welcome everybody! To Let's play Clanfolk Guide! How not to burn Your house! You need fire to cook food and more important you need fire to warm the house during the winter times. Without it Not only Will Your people freeze and complain but also the stored water inside the house will freeze, that means to drink or use it You will have to warm it up again. That means waste resources, waste time and cooling even more the house! Do not keep the water in a cold place like that. The solution is quite simple, make a house out of resources that can't burn easily. Stone, bricks. Straw is a no go as it will almost always instantly start to burn! Wood is a optional option but it will also burn and catch fire quite easy. That means waste water, waste time and risk loosing a house, furniture or a settler. But there is a twist, In the current version of the game, You don't have to build a house entirely out of stone or bricks. There is no isolation mechanic in Clanfolk just yet. So use it for your advantage. But the fire place or the wall torch or the blacksmith Smithy those will generate sparks , that can start a fire! With each of those furniture elements in Your house they will have a red circle around them, that is the spark source. Those will spread within the red circle and start fires, the current main threat in Clanfolk! So build the surrounding floors out of stone or bricks, to stop the fire from spreading, walls as well make them out of stone or bricks. But in Clanfolk You also have to worry about roofs! Make them out of bricks or stone! To make a fully secured place to cook food for your settlers as well as warm the house during winter, just make sure the house have walls and roofs! Floor helps too but the remaining parts of the house won't have to be done from fire proof material like the fireplace! Keep in mind the touches also can start fire! They can throw sparks around just as a fireplace! So building a touche on a wooden wall surrounded by straw is a terrible idea! To make things easier in clanfolk, You can use a special block command around sources of fire! As sometimes Your settlers might drop a wooden tool or fur coat next to a fire place! That can also start fire and spread it to the other flammable items! Floors or roofs! So use this fire blocker from your villagers to drop the items that can catch fire next to touches or fireplaces! With this simple tools and guides lines Your house will be protected from fire, or rather from starting a fire of your own by mistake to burn down the house! As fire is important mechanic in the game not a one of you have to be wary about but also a one you have to use in the future for fields!
