Revero.com podcast

lysine
methionine
tryptophan
leucine

always limiting in plant proteins

Grains:
[wheat, oat, corn]
very limiting in lysine

Legumes:
[soy & pea]
very limiting in methionine
and sulpher amino acids

Worst thing:
graze, eating protein
all day long,
keeping mTOR active
all day long!

mTOR controls how nutrients support
muscle growth and metabolism

Amino acids will pool in blood for up to 5 hours
Muscle protein synthesis will only last about 2 to 2.5 hours

Range of meal response: 25 [whey] to 55g protein
beyond that you are getting very little effect

First meal and last meal of day are most critical for protein
First meal: 50g animal protein minimum
