Adversity is Inevitable, but Stress is Optional
As a Christian living in a fallen world I realize that adversity is inevitable, but stress is optional. I manage my stress in two ways. The first is by developing a biblical worldview which allows me to be able to operate from the divine perspective and to frame life in a way that truly makes sense. This also means learning and living God's word on a daily basis, walking with the Lord, advancing to spiritual maturity, and standing on the promises of God. The second way that I manage my stress is by very practical means. I make sure that I get good rest at night, that I'm taking care of my body by eating properly and staying hydrated. That I'm getting exercise and finding time for play. And also by getting good socialization and surrounding myself with friends who are helping me in my walk with the Lord.
