Aftermath of flooding in downtown Porto, Portugal. Metro station remains closed for cleaning work

As a result of heavy rains, the streets of the city were under water, the metro was flooded. Roads damaged. The country has introduced an orange weather alert.

Downtown Porto was affected by bad weather this Saturday morning. There were several points of flooding next to the São Bento metro station. Circulation has now been restored.

In less than two hours, the municipality of Porto registered 193 requests for help due to flooding in homes and public roads.
