Sustainable Energy Transition: Avoiding the High Costs & Shortages of Electricity/Fuel
This is a discussion about high energy costs and the crisis surrounding this that is affecting many people.
There is a drive to reduce carbon footprint and change to renewable energy sources, to generate electricity.
Whilst this change would be positive, the drastic increases in fuel prices, combined with drive to force reduction in usage and carbon footprint
is destructive to the population. The average home cannot afford the price increases. The situation is a crisis, and I discuss the desperate need
for governments to intervene and fund this, and introduce price caps to mitigate destruction to people and to social infrastructure.
Also, in an emergency situation measures are needed, such as the temporary use of nuclear power to generate electricity, which is high yielding,
and can save the population in a crisis.
