Texting while driving? NDOT is monitoring that behavior

Recently, as motorists drove along Nebraska roads, they might have passed digital technology from a company called Acusensus. A device made by the company was on a trailer throughout the state. It can tell if a driver's seatbelt is on and if their phone is in their hand. “You know there are a lot of people that are distracted, so we’re just trying to get a good sense while they’re actually driving,” said Bill Kovarik, highway administrator at the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
