How local leaders can have a big impact on solving the homelessness crisis
2 years ago
1
The American City and County Exchange (ACCE) within ALEC works with local elected officials to share model policies and practices based on the principles of limited government, federalism, and free markets. ACCE executive director Andre Cushing interviews the chairman and executive director of an innovate community-based non-profit in Utah working to help solve homelessness. Switchpoint Community Resource Center seeks to empower their clients with skills to become self-sufficient. In this discussion at the 2022 States and Nation Policy Summit we learn that even small changes can make a big difference in a person’s life, taking them in an entirely new direction, just as a small switch point does for trains.
