Plants vs Zombies 2 - Epic Quest - Seedium Plant Showcase - Ice Bloom - January 2023

This Penny's quest focuses on the Seedium plant Ice Bloom and was offered between between January 4, 2022 and January 11, 2023.

Ice Bloom is a member of the Winter-Mint family.
Costs 100 Sun. ( -25 Sun at levels 5 and 9)
Ice Bloom does 1,200 damage to all zombies on the tile it was planted. (+100 per level.)
Zombies hit this way are frozen for 13 seconds. (+1 second per level until a maximum of 20 seconds.)
Ice Bloom does 900 damage to all zombies in a 1x5 area. (Two tiles ahead and behind) (+100 per level.)
Ice Bloom will freeze all zombies in the lane above and below the lane it was planted on for 3 seconds. (+1 second per odd level.)
Ice Bloom will chill all zombies in the lane above and below the lane it was planted on for 6 seconds. (+1 second on levels 2, 3, 5, 9 and 10.)
Ice Bloom has a 15 second recharge time. (-1 second at levels 2, 3, 6, 7 and 9.)

Commentary:
The obvious comparison is to Jalapeño - which does 1,800 damage to all zombies in a lane with a 35 second recharge. While Ice Bloom does less damage, the ability to almost shut a lane down can not be ignored. At level 3, Ice Bloom's freezing ability is 15 seconds with a recharge of 13 seconds. So any zombies which can handle the Deep Freeze will not be thawing any time soon, keeping Dave's house safe - albeit it will be chilly. 😜️

Bottom Line:
The Winter-Mint family needed some quality plants to join its ranks. It appears that one has. There is a lot to like about this plant:
• Extinguishes fires
• A mini Cherry Bomb
• Three (3) lanes of chill.
• Reasonable Cost.
• Favorable recast time.
We recommend obtaining and leveling this plant while it is being offered.
